Update, Important Link
First, I heard from the Chief this AM. He is incredibly busy and hasn't been around his computer enough to even answer email. He did say that things are progressing and that he is getting everything set up to ensure the toy drive continues even after he leaves. Next, everyone who is interested in Asia and what is happening there should read this post at the Marmot's Hole. I'm linking you to his site instead of the actual news article because I think it is important to read the comment section. The Marmot's website is read by a wide variety of people, including some influential scholars, business people and others. People who have dealt with Asia for a long time and who have a depth of knowledge few have. Of course, you have the normal amount of idiots who post comments as well. I know this because some of them (scholars, not idiots), are friends and aquaintances of mine and we have discussed his website via email. Many use pseudonyms when posting online, but it doesn't affect the quality of their comments. ANYWAY, I think the article is an important one and, hopefully, the comment section will expand on it. Don't miss it. While you're there, read this post as well! It will give you a much greater understanding of the North Korean situation. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
