A quick history lesson for those that don't know.
During WWII and before, as Japan fought wars in China and other places, they forced many women from the countries they conquered into sexual slavery, women to be used by their troups. They have been called, "Comfort Women." A good portion of these women/girls were Korean.
Recently, in Korea, a group has actually tried to exploit this shameful history. Happily, they have been slapped down. You can read about this here, here, and here.
So why am I writing about this here? Because of this excellent post at the blog Ruminations in Korea. He has stated quite well what I have struggled with many times while talking with Koreans. I doubt this is something specific to Korea, but I seem to run into this attitude there quite frequently. Give it a read to see what I am talking about.
UPDATE: Instapundit links to an article that helps show just what a nutjob North Korea's Kim Jong Il is.
