My Situation

I am sure by now that Plunge has informed you my readers about my current inability to send out a journal entry about my daily activities due to the sensitive nature of my current operations. I hope you understand and will be patient with me for the next few days.

But on a positive note

So many great things have been happening, that are just magical and mind-boggling. We are definitely seeing the fruits of our labors as so many things are coming together or in some cases coming to a head. At times you have to allow things to surface and go with the flow of it, no matter where it may take you or how difficult it may appear.

I am in many instances going down very new and foreign roads, on uncharted waters, not knowing where they may lead me but still trying to stay the course, following my heart to tell me where to go. When it is all finished I will surely let you know what has been going on.

I guess that is what living deliberately is all about, following your heart, pushing for what you believe in and then allowing things to take their course, while trying not to be too afraid of the unknown destinations. Fortunately, I have been able to realize the purpose of the journey and the detours along the way.

Today after arriving at a new temporary location I discovered one such purpose, now with a better understanding of why I had arrived at this place in time.

Grateful

I just have to mention and be grateful for so many positive things that have happened.

Our team is organized to carry on with Operation Give “Sharing Joys with Toys campaign after my departure. We have doctors and professional people on our team and they are dedicated to carry forth with our goals and objectives.

Our 11 bikes arrived yesterday via FedEx, which is really exciting and will be for some really special kids.

The Toys

The first container left Baltimore packed tight with your wonderful donations of toys and school supplies; which are going to make a lot of kids really happy. You have really made so many wonderful things possible, cheering up the lives of so many children.

We really appreciate the money you have donated which is going towards the purchase of many things kids are in need of here. We will be giving you a full disclosure of everything we have purchased in the next couple of weeks.

So far we have purchased many toy items, but we intend to purchase a few wheel chairs for some handicapped kids, a play mat for a school playroom, some blankets and heaters for a few needy families (with lots of kids), and many other things.

We would like you all to have a say in where this money is spent, so please give us your suggestions and advice. A very small amount has to go towards moving the containers of toys from Kuwait City to Baghdad, but the vast majority is going to be spent on things that you would want for the kids.

Please tell us in your emails where you want the money to go. The following is a list of possible items.

  • Toys
  • Blankets
  • Clothes
  • School supplies
  • School computers
  • School equipment
  • Calculators
  • Radios and TV’s
  • Shoes
  • Medicine for special cases
  • Medical Equipment for kids
  • Books
  • Food
  • Heaters
  • Education/classes
  • The Community Center with games for the kids, computers for them to learn on, classes for artists, musical instruments and other educational equipment.
  • Wheel chairs
  • Or your choice

We would love to have your feed back on this. You are all part of what we are doing at Operation Give. This is your chance to play a part. Don’t hesitate to mention your wishes when you place your donations on our website.

We are going to start making a serious effort to inform you of where your donations have gone and what your money donations have been spent on. We feel that it is really important for you to have that kind of feedback wherever possible. So that means for information and more pictures relating to what we have been doing with the things you have sent us.

My support team

A big thanks goes out to my huge base of supporters who are always there for me when I need them. You guys are fantastic.

Trust me I am well. As the sound of gunfire breaks up the silence of the evening. I say goodnight.
