End of Blogroll 8/13/03
As some might have noticed, the blogroll is now gone. Today, I exchanged email with a person whose writings I respect if not always agree with, Matt Yglesias. I had emailed him after reading one of his posts, asking if he had ever seen this blog. He politely emailed back, said he had not, provided a link to it on his site, and let me know it might get more notice on the left except for its obvious leanings via the blogroll. Chief Wiggles has always wanted this place to be open and welcoming for all. It is a place where friends, family and others interested can see the war and the reconstruction from the eyes of one who is there and has experience. It was never meant to be a politically polarizing site, nor a site that leans heavily to one side or the other. I thought of providing links to various blogs on all sides of the political spectrum, but decided that would be a headache I didn't want to have. With that, we will end the blogroll and say thanks to those that were on it. I hope you all continue to come back and take part in this journey which, hopefully, will be over soon. While the journey is enlightening, those of us who are friends of the Chief would rather have him here, safe and sound. Regards. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
